About the Journal

Benin Journal of Advances in Computer Science (BJACS) is the official journal of the Department of Computer Science, University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. The journal is published twice a year (June and December) with a readership in academics and computing profession. The majority of readers have been involved in the computing industry for many years, and many have advanced degrees. Contributors and readers are computing practitioners working in industry, University lecturers in related areas of academia. Manuscripts are selected for review and publication on the basis of significance and general interests to these readers.

Focus and Scope (Subject areas)

Papers are welcome from pure/applied computing and ICT, and allied areas (Computer applications in other fields) including but not limited to software engineering, computer communication/networks, human computer interaction, Artificial intelligence, data mining, database systems, design and analysis of algorithms, computer security, systems architecture, systems design, information systems, bioinformatics, information management, information science , Multimedia systems, Expert systems and e-systems (e-health, e-learning, e-government, etc.)
